Upcoming Plague Inc. Update Will Allows Players to Stop a Pandemic
The tables will turn in an upcoming update to the iconic Plague Inc. Developer Ndemic Creations recently announced that it is developing an update to the popular game where players are tasked with stopping a pandemic.
Players will need to managing the progression of the disease while boosting healthcare. You can also control actions like triaging, quarantining, social distancing and closing of public services.
The update will be developed in cooperation with experts from the World Health Organization and Global Outbreak Alert and Response Network.
Ndemic Creations also announced it was making a $250,000 split between Coalition of Epidemic Preparedness Innovations (CEPI) and the World Health Organisation’s COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund.
“Eight years ago, I never imagined the real world would come to resemble a game of Plague Inc. or that so many players would be using Plague Inc. to help them get through an actual pandemic,” said James Vaughan, creator of Plague Inc. “We are proud to be able to help support the vital work of the WHO and CEPI as they work towards finding a vaccine for COVID-19.”
