Video Recording App REC Updated With HDR Video Support for iPhone 12 Line and More
Landing back in July from the developer behind the popular Camera+ 2 app, REC is a great video recording app for both casual users and professional videographers.
Stereo Recording and More
And the app has just been updated with a number of new features.
First up, the app now offers timecode support. It records the device’s clock information along with the video. The other option is support via Bluetooth with Tentacle Sync devices. With the Tentacle option, it’s possible to synchronize footage within a 1-frame resolution window.
Anyone with an iPhone 12 or iPhone 12 Pro can now use the app to capture 10-bit HDR video with Dolby Vision. That offers more information about a scene including more colors and additional details.
Finally, you can take advantage of stereo recording as long as your iPhone has iOS 14 installed. The feature is currently only for internal microphones.
REC is designed for the iPhone and can be downloaded now on the App Store for $4.99.
