Yelp Now Takes Advantage of the Compass on Apple Watch Series 5
Pointing You in the Right Direction
The biggest new feature is only for Apple Watch Series 5 and its built-in compass.
When using the app, a compass icon on the bottom-right of a business listing will help show you in real-time the direction and how far a location is. As you move, the compass icon will change depending on where you are.
Another change is for any users with watchOS 6 installed. If you’ve selected personal preferences on the iPhone app, the watch version will show those custom results.
A business will also be labeled “for you” and use the same heart icon from the iPhone app.
On the Apple Watch, the Yelp app has also been redesigned with a new look and scrolling interface.
Yelp can be downloaded now on the App Store for free. It’s designed for the iPhone and all iPad models.
