Indeed, this latest episode is fresh off the market — the market teeming with marmosets, that is:
It’s Market Mayhem! The marmosets are running amok in the market, and it’s up to you to stop them! Bounce off awnings and pulverize fruit while you knock those monkeys off their perch!
The new episode contains 36 new levels. Plus, collect all of the hidden fruits across these levels to unlock a new bonus level.
The new episode also includes a new boss fight with none other than the malevolent marmoset king himself.
The new versions of Angry Birds Rio for iPhone and Angry Birds Rio HD for iPad are available now in the App Store. And you can get both for free, whether you’ve downloaded them before or just about to download them for the first time.
You see, last January, Angry Birds Rio was featured as Apple’s Free App of the Week in the App Store. But since then, both the iPhone and iPad editions of the game haven’t reverted to their respective regular prices ($0.99 for the former and $2.99 for the latter).
In case you haven’t noticed, it’s been a pretty eventful past couple of weeks for Rovio.
Before this new update to Angry Birds Rio, Rovio had done the following: announce the upcoming “Angry Birds Toons,” release the Road Hogs update for Bad Piggies, announce the upcoming The Croods game, release the “SlashBird” update for Angry Birds Space, release a content update for the original Angry Birds and then making it free for the first time as Apple’s Free App of the Week, and release the first gameplay trailer for The Croods. Whew!
