Start Reading

Start Reading is designed for kids who begin to read words. The distraction free interface offers a blackboard where the letters appear as if someone writes them down. Kids appreciate watching the letters appearing and along the way learn how to write.

The app allows selecting characters that are already known to the reader and randomly displays words containing selected characters only. Additionally the desired word length can be set as well as a syllable highlighting can be enabled. The word list contains more than 1.500 handpicked words appropriate for children.

At the moment it is recommended to join the reader while practicing since there is no correctness control implemented yet. The app greatly facilitates the daily reading practicing for beginners especially if the reader still does not know all characters.
