Shazam for iPhone is one of my favorite apps, and one I never get bored of showing off. Ever since its release, it has held a place on my iPhone. And, since releasing a pro version (dubbed Shazam Encore), the application has dominated both the Top Paid and Top Free app charts in the App Store.
The great news for Shazam fans is that both versions of the popular application have recently received a major update (version 3.0.0), which brings fast app switching and optimization for the Retina display. Trust me, iPhone 4 owners will be very happy with this latest version.
As Shazam states in the app's release notes, this is the biggest update yet. Additional improvements include:
• 30 sec preview clips for Tags and Charts • Shazam Tag Charts from 20 countries • Tag on startup • Shortcut menu • Videos in App • Music search by Artist, Track or Album • Completely new look and feel • Launch Offer: In App upgrade to Encore for 1 year - $2.99So, if you're a fan of either version, be sure to head over to the App Store on your iDevice (or through iTunes) and check out this new update now! It's definitely worth it, especially if you're toting an iPhone 4. As always, we'd love to hear your thoughts on Shazam's update. Be sure to post them in the comments box below!
