Lead Wars Updated With A Full Campaign, New Maps, And Overall Improvements

Today marks the second major update to DemonStudios' digital port of a classic turn-based real-time strategy game. Lead Wars v1.2 introduces a full campaign, two new battle maps, and general improvements to existing features.
One of the additions provided with the first major update to Lead Wars was an artificial intelligence opponent, allowing for solo Battle play. DemonStudios takes solo play a bit further with a level-up experience in Campaign mode. Leading off the Basic Training exercise of past versions, the campaign contains ten battle scenarios consisting of dozens of missions. Completing all tasks will earn you the rank of Staff Sergeant.
Along with the two new maps available in Battle mode, increasing the total of built-in battlefields to eight, comes improvements to the map editor, AI, plus several general enhancements and bug fixes.
Not that it's necessary knowledge, but Lead Wars for iOS is a recreation of the pencil and paper war game of the same name. The iOS version has identical control procedures and rules, although, you can adjust most of the game parameters, if you'd like.
DemonStudios intended to carry over the same difficult to master experience to make it feel authentic. The game has a steeper learning curve than some others, but that doesn't mean the gameplay isn't exciting. Best of all, unlike the olden days, practicing with your iDevice is much less tedious. A few simple taps resets the game, rather than tons of erasing or redoing everything from scratch on a fresh sheet of paper.
Grasping the technique of moving and firing weapons is part of the strategy, requiring patience and precision. Take a look at the video below for a demonstration of the physical version mechanics, hopefully, offering insight on the proper digital execution.
