Dolphin Browser HD Offers A Remarkable Browsing Experience
Dolphin Browser HD by MoboTap Inc. is the kind of browser that Safari should be.
Originally offered in the Android Market, the Dolphin Browser has crossed into the App Store. The app’s name seems unassuming, but it is a really robust browser.
Right from the get-go, the main page shows a speed dial section to access popular sites quickly, as well as a webzine with a beautiful layout that can be customized with sites from different categories. You can see your Facebook and Twitter feeds as if they were a magazine.

Fanhattan for iPad, Free, Updated September 13
Fanhattan For iPad Goes Social, Adds VUDU Library To The Mix
Fanhattan for iPad has received its first significant update. The entertainment discovery service now includes links to VUDU and is heavily linked to social networking sites.
First released in June, Fanhattan for iPad lets users discover more about their favorite TV programs and movies. Most importantly, the app shows where the program is available for streaming, and when appropriate, opens the necessary app for viewing.
Until today, Fanhattan for iPad focused on highlighting programming provided by Netflix, iTunes, Hulu Plus, and ABC. However, now movies and TV episodes in the VUDU library are shown as the default on-demand service. Keep in mind, however, that you’ll still need a VUDU account to actually view the programming, just like you do for Netflix and Hulu Plus as well.
VUDU is the streaming video service owned by Wal-Mart. In August, we reported that the service was (finally) available on the iPad.
Moviefone Movies for iPad, Free, Updated September 14
Moviefone For iPad Now Shows Critic Reviews, Becomes Canada-Friendly, And More
It has been nearly five months since the launch, and efforts continue to expand and fine tune the Moviefone app for iPad. Today's update allows for editing of the favorites section, adds critic reviews, provides a way to share movie showtimes, supports Canada addresses, and is already compatible with the upcoming iOS 5.
The last update of Moviefone for iPad, back in July, introduced the favorites section. The new area offered a place for users to quickly access celebrities, movies, and video clips they enjoyed the most. Moviefone for iPad v1.2 adds an edit function to favorites, providing a quicker means to remove any celebrities, movies, and video clips you've changed your mind about highlighting.
Living Earth HD, $.99, Updated September 15
Living Earth HD v1.3 Expands On The Weather Reports, Supports iOS 5, And More
As part of the fan base, I'm happy to share that Moshen Chan's world clock and weather app, Living Earth HD, now contains a larger extended forecast with even more details. In addition, v1.3 brings support for Apple's upcoming iOS 5 and makes some helpful tweaks to the alarm clock feature.
Even though Living Earth HD had a basic forecast before, tapping on the current weather will now result in a full 7-day forecast in list view. Taking things a step farther, tapping on a day will show or hide the hourly details, featuring temp, wind speed, humidity, cloud cover, and chance of precipitation. Actually, the information is for every two hours and trimmed to the remainder of the day, when applicable. All of this weather data is provided by the acclaimed Weather Underground.
The Best iPad Apps Of The Week is published each weekend; a companion piece, The Best iPhone Apps Of The Week, is published separately.
