Could This Be The Easiest Way To Open URLs In Chrome For iOS?
Since Chrome for iOS launched, countless jailbreak tweaks have been released, with each one promising to change the app for the better. Though we've already told you how it's possible to open Safari URLs in Chrome using one jailbreak package, Redmond Pie has just drawn out attention to an alternate method that would appear to be all the more easier to install, and more usable, too.
In order to install the tweak, search for "Chrome for ActionMenu" in the Cydia app. The tweak makes use of Ryan Petrich's (@rpetrich) ActionMenu framework, allowing users to select URLs in any application and open them in Chrome, via the pop-up "copy and paste" menu. It's possible to enable a Chrome ActionMenu icon (as you can see in the above image) via a new pane in the Settings app, and here you can also disable the jailbreak tweak altogether.
Though this jailbreak package has been championed as a great means of improving Chrome, we'd still recommend that users download BrowserChooser, instead. This clever jailbreak package allows users to change their default browser with little fuss, and can be installed for free.
However, if you'd rather take Chrome for ActionMenu for a spin, you can also download this jailbreak tweak for free in the Cydia Store. Let us know which Chrome-enhancing tweak you prefer in the comments!
