If You Can Think It, You Can Animate It!

Last week, Disney introduced Pixel'd, an app that lets you build pixel art and animations. This week, it's Aardman to introduce another app that aims to boost the imagination of animation lovers.
The studio, most famous for Shaun the Sheep and the Academy Award-winning duo of Wallace and Gromit, has launched Animate It. Essentially, Animate It is an app that lets you create stop-motion animations.
Lego released an app with similar functionality a few months ago in the form of Lego Super Heroes Movie Maker. But unlike Animate It, that app is geared toward making stop-motion animation starring characters from the Lego DC Universe.
Serving as a mobile app extension of the Animate It website, Animate It encourages you to come up with animations using anything and everything you can get your hands on.
To prove the effectiveness of Animate It, Aardman used the app itself in making its wonderful launch trailer, which you can watch below.

The main features of Animate It are as follows:
Designed for iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad, Animate It is available now in the App Store for $2.99. Sadly, neither Shaun the Sheep nor Wallace and Gromit do not figure prominently in the app. But Animate It does feature everyone's favorite animated plasticine stop-motion character, Morph.
