Apple Showcases iPhone 5 And EarPods In New Ads
September 22, 2012
Did you manage to get your hands on a brand spankin’ new iPhone 5 on launch day? What’s that? You’re still on the fence about getting one? Well, perhaps these brand spankin’ new iPhone 5 ads from Apple can sway you toward the purchasing side of that fence you’re currently sitting on.
Apple has just released not one, not two, but three ads showcasing the latest generation of its bestselling smartphone.
First among these is an ad titled “Thumb.” “Thumb” highlights the “dazzling display of common sense” that goes on with the taller, but not wider, screen of the iPhone 5. In a sense, it’s Apple’s clever way of thumbing its nose at the huge screens of other smartphone brands, which make for clumsy one-handed operation.

And then there’s “Cheese,” which demonstrates to great effect the new Panorama camera mode in iOS 6, which is, of course, built into the iPhone 5.

For its part, “Physics” makes a case for the apparent impossibility of designing a phone that is both bigger and smaller. This, of course, alludes to the larger screen and thinner profile of the iPhone 5 compared to its predecessors.

In addition to these iPhone 5-centric ads, a separate ad featuring the new ear-shaped Apple EarPods has also been shown. Ears aren’t round, it says, “So why would headphones be round?”

So, do these ads make you want to get or recommend the new iPhone 5 (and EarPods)?
