Penny Arcade's On The Rain-Slick Precipice Of Darkness 3 Slips Into App Store

October 26, 2012
Originally launched on PC and Xbox, Penny Arcade's On The Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness 3 has just gone mobile with its newly released editions for iPhone and iPad. Apart from being a probable candidate for the game with the longest title ever, Penny Arcade's On The Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness 3 is a retro-inspired game that is supposedly long on adventure. The game follows the adventures of Apocalyptic Studies scholar Tycho Brahe and his companion of indeterminate humanness, Jonathan Gabriel. Set in the eponymous precipice, the game has you helping the duo as they encounter: "a cunning evil Doctor, a series of Unexplainable Thefts, a Mysterious Book of Power, Enigmatic Supernatural Forces, Hobo Kings, Roboids, and more!" If you can't see the video embedded above, please click here. Developed by Penny Arcade in cooperation with Zeboyd and TinkerHouse Games of Cthulhu Saves the World fame, the new game includes the original game plus the following features:
  • The Lair of the Seamstress DLC and Fanfiction packs built-in!
  • Intuitive touch-enabled menus and enemy selection
  • Rejiggered UI to maximize screen real estate
  • 2 Control Scheme for your comfort: Fixed D-Pad, and Floating Swipe D-Pad!
  • More free content, coming soon!
Penny Arcade's On The Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness 3 is available now in the App Store as a $2.99 universal iOS game. A Mac version of the game, which also includes The Lair of the Seamstress DLC and Fanfiction packs, is also available now in the Mac App Store for a couple of dollars more.
