If you were commissioned to create a game to promote Oreo, what would you do? The best you could do is, of course, to build it around the brand's popular catchphrase, "Twist, Lick, Dunk!"
And that's exactly what PikPok, which recently released DreamWorks Dash n Drop, has done with Oreo: Twist, Lick, Dunk for iOS.
It's rather tempting to dismiss Oreo: Twist, Lick, Dunk as nothing more than a game that's just aimed at promoting the world-famous chocolate sandwich cookie brand. But the thing is, it's actually a well-made pick-up-and-play game.
As suggested in the game's title, you have to twist, lick, and dunk your way through Oreo: Twist, Lick, Dunk. But only virtually, OK? So don't get any ideas about having to, say, pass your tongue over your iDevice's screen.
In Oreo: Twist, Lick, Dunk, you have to perform the three titular acts to the cookies that fly through the screen Fruit Ninja-style.
First, swipe through the cookies to "twist" them. Second, swipe through them again to "lick" them and combine them into one big cookie. Finally, drag the big cookie onto the refreshing glass of milk to "dunk" it.
Twist, lick, and dunk as many Oreo cookies as you can to earn coins and unlock the 20 Oreo cookie varieties featured in the game. You can also compete against your friends through Facebook leaderboards. (No Game Center support yet, apparently.)
