Relive Disney's New Film On Your iDevice With These Wreck-It Ralph Book Apps
November 3, 2012
Are you planning on seeing Disney's latest 3-D computer-animated film, "Wreck-It Ralph," in theaters this weekend? If you're anything like me, then I'm pretty sure you'll like its often hilarious and at times heartwarming treatment of video game and retro pop culture. Also, you might want to experience more of the colorful universe of "Wreck-It Ralph" after watching it.
Of course, you can play not one, but three mini-games based on the film on your iDevice. With the official Wreck-It Ralph game, you can play the building fixer Fix-It Felix Jr., endless jumper Sweet Climber, and cy-bug blaster Hero's Duty.
In addition, you can relive the film itself with Wreck-It Ralph Storybook Deluxe and read a prequel of sorts with Hero's Duty Interactive Comic.
Both available for iPhone and iPad, Wreck-It Ralph Storybook Deluxe and Hero's Duty Interactive Comic allow fans to reenter the world of "Wreck-It Ralph" through e-reading.
Wreck-It Ralph Storybook Deluxe, just like the other titles in Disney's Storybook Deluxe series, offers read-along text and full narration of the movie it's based on. It also lets you interact with the movie characters and watch short clips from the movie itself.
Unlike the other titles in the series, though, Wreck-It Ralph Storybook Deluxe includes an interactive racing game that lets you "bake" a kart and race it against others racers.
For its part, Hero's Duty Interactive Comic offers a comic prequel that is centered on one of the arcade games in the movie, Hero's Duty.
The app spans 22 interactive comic pages, complete with music and special sound effects in each panel.
Wreck-It Ralph Storybook Deluxe and Hero's Duty Interactive Comic are available now in the App Store for $6.99 and $1.99, respectively.
