Rovio Unleashes Full Gameplay Trailer From Angry Birds Star Wars

Just a few days before its official launch, Rovio has released the full gameplay trailer from Angry Birds Star Wars.

While we’ve seen some of the action in videos released last week by Rovio, there are definitely some interesting new twists. Most notably, we get our first look at the black bomb bird taking over the persona of Obi-Wan Kenobi for the game. Luke’s moves with the lightsaber also look like fun.

We’ll have more on the game when it hits the App Store on Thursday. Much like previous Rovio titles, there will probably be a separate version of the game for the iPhone/iPod touch and iPad.
While some have wondered whether the Angry Birds phenomenon will ever end, Rovio seems to be on a roll so far this year. The Angry Birds “sequel” Bad Piggies rocketed to the top of the paid App Store charts after its release in late September and stayed there until Wreck-It Ralph climbed past it. I suspect Angry Birds Star Wars will quickly retake that crown.
