Apple Unveils The App Store’s Best Of List For 2012

With the year quickly coming to a close, Apple has just unveiled its 2012 App Store Best of List. Along with presenting an Editor’s Choice list of the best apps, the section summarizes the most popular free and paid titles in the store.
On the paid side of the iPhone charts, Angry Birds Space was the top seller in 2012. WhatsApp Messenger was second while the spectacular Camera+ was third. Draw Something was fourth and the original Angry Birds closed out the top five.
Instagram topped the free iPhone app charts. Its parent company Facebook had the second most downloaded app in 2012. Draw Something Free was third while YouTube and Temple Run rounded out the top five.
Apple named Action Movie FX the iPhone App of the Year while Paper by FiftyThree took home the top iPad app honor. Rayman Jungle Run nabbed the iPhone Game of the Year award and The Room was named the best iPad game.
Beyond apps, the best movies, music, TV shows, podcasts, and books from iTunes are selected.
