Get Spirited Away To The North Pole And Ride Santa's Sleigh In Ski Safari
December 11, 2012
If there's one update Ski Safari couldn't possibly pass on, it's the update that decks the game up for the holidays.
What's that? Ski Safari is already filled with snow, you say? Well, Ski Safari may be inherently snowy, but a snowy winter wonderland it's not.
At least not yet. Not until its holiday update, that is, which has just been pushed to the AppAdvice Game of the Week award-winning endless running, I mean, skiing game.
Ski Safari's holiday update brings, most notably, a new and suitably festive slope. And it's none other than North Pole, "Santa's home at the top of the world."
As you can see in the update trailer below, North Pole features Christmas trees, reindeer, and, of course, snow. Perhaps even more snow than Ski Safari is used to.

Oh, and there's also a new snowmobile fashioned after Santa's sleigh as well as a new Merry Mobile, which can "spread the merriness at breakneck speed!"
Ski Safari's holiday update also includes Santa and Elf costumes for the game's tireless skiing character, Sven. Also available are Santa's Scarf, which is "just the thing for a snowy sleigh ride," and Merry Scarf, which is "full of holiday cheer."
In addition, the update introduces a few non-holiday themed items.
There are new challenges and three new ranks to accomplish. And there are two new booster types, namely Super Blue Boost and Pocket Rocket, which can help you get ahead of the "game over"-inducing avalanche.
Compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad, the holiday-ready Ski Safari is available now in the App Store as a free update or as a new $0.99 download.
