There's Double The Trouble And Twice The Fun In Sonic Jump's Second Update
December 19, 2012
Sonic Jump, the Doodle Jump-like game featuring everybody's favorite zippy hedgehog, has just received its second update.
Hailed as AppAdvice's Game of the Week shortly after its release in mid-October, Sonic Jump chucks the beloved platforming title character into a vertical auto-jumper.
Sonic is, of course, the main hero of the game. But you can also opt to play as one of Sonic's friends.
The game offers two modes: Arcade and Story. In Arcade mode, you just have to jump as high as you can — as you would in the recently updated Doodle Jump. But in Story mode, you have to jump through various stages and occasionally fight Sonic's archenemy, Dr. Eggman, in epic boss battles.

In the latest version of Sonic Jump, there are now twice the boss battles to, er, battle through, what with Dr. Eggman's takeover of Act 6 of the game.
If that sounds too daunting for you, you can always seek help from Sonic's friends, which now include Silver and Rouge. Equipped with unique abilities, Silver and Rouge may be unlocked in the in-game store, along with Tails, Knuckles, Amy, and Blaze.
Designed for iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad, Sonic Jump is available in the App Store for $1.99.
The new version of the game also features improved graphics, new wallpapers, and level-up rewards. Oh, and there are new gameplay objects as well, including swings and diagonal springs.
