Cinemagram Takes On Vine With New Mini-Movie Feature

January 27, 2013
Just a couple of days after Twitter launched the new video sharing app Vine, Cinemagram has introduced a new video sharing service of its own. Actually, the new service in question is introduced right within Cinemagram through the app's latest update. Released in February last year, Cinemagram is an app that lets you come up with photo and video hybrid creations called "cines." To create a cine, you just have to record a two- or three-second video, animate a small portion, apply a filter, and that's it. Of course, you're free to share your cine on the Cinemagram network itself or on your favorite social networks. As though in response to Vine, Cinemagram has just been updated with a new feature called Shorts. Basically, Shorts lets you combine cines to create a mini-movie, jus as Vine lets you "capture life's motions in six seconds." To create a Cinemagram short, just go to the "you" tab, tap the video recorder icon, select at least two cines, and that's it. Your cines are stitched together according to the order in which you selected them. Optimized for iPhone and iPod touch running iOS 5.0 or later, the newly updated Cinemagram is available now in the App Store for free. The new version of the app also includes push notification support, improved video quality, and some bug fixes. [gallery link="file" order="DESC"]
