Here Are More Reasons To Join The Integrated Online Community In Sketch Club
January 17, 2013
The popular community-driven universal drawing app Sketch Club has just received a rather substantial update.
Sketch Club is so named because it gives access to both a sketching app and an online club of sorts. In addition to providing you with a suite of creative tools, it also provides you with an online community to inspire you to keep drawing.
With Sketch Club, you can upload your sketches for others to see, rate, and comment on. Also, you can participate in daily challenges and weekly competitions to win prizes.
Furthermore, you can easily create speed painting videos, which you can upload directly to YouTube or broadcast through your sketching lifestreams.
As it happens, it's this integrated community that is one of the points of improvement of Sketch Club's latest update.
The update introduces a new community panel. The redesigned panel now shows your avatar, nickname, some stats, and other relevant bits of information.
The update also introduces a new mode for exploring and discovering sketches. Just tap the new gallery button in the toolbar while browsing the Sketch Club community to see the new gallery view. On the iPad, you can switch between portrait and landscape orientations to quickly switch between modes.
The latest Sketch Club update also brings miscellaneous changes along with the following new features outside the app's community:
Moreover, the update adds support for the Pogo Bridge app and for pressure-sensitive styli designed for iPhone and iPod touch. Compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad running iOS 5.0 or later, the new version of Sketch Club is available now as a free update or as a new $2.99 download. Note that the latest update has been found to cause the app to incorrectly start without a canvas for new users. This bug will be fixed in the next Sketch Club update. Until then, you can tap the rightmost button on the toolbar and choose New Sketch when you first launch the app. [gallery link="file" order="DESC"]
