Now You Can Become A One Tap Hero Even Without Spending One Dollar
January 10, 2013
One Tap Hero, which we deemed "a fun game" upon its release in August last year, now comes in not one, but two versions. There's the original $0.99 full version that you probably have come to know and love. And then there's the new free lite version that you're probably going to come to know and love anyway.
Recently released in the App Store, the new free lite version is simply called One Tap Hero: Free.
As opposed to the full version, which offers four game worlds, One Tap Hero: Free offers only two game worlds. The first world, Cocotown, contains 10 levels, while the second world, Laputa, contains six.
In both worlds (and in the entire One Tap Hero universe, for that matter), you're tasked to help the title character in saving his cursed girlfriend.
You see, the cute couple are living a peaceful and happy life when an evil, possibly jealous wizard enters the picture. For some reason, the wizard decides to turn the girlfriend into a teddy bear.
Now, One Tap Hero must turn his sweetheart back to her proper form by solving platforming puzzles and collecting stars in every level of the game.

Naturally, One Tap Hero: Free features the same gameplay as its paid counterpart, which is quite reminiscent of the gameplay of the hit console game Super Meat Boy.
If you enjoy One Tap Hero: Free enough to want the full version, you can readily purchase it by tapping the appropriate link on the game's main screen.
Compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad, One Tap Hero: Free is available now in the App Store for – wait for it — free.
Note that just like the original One Tap Hero, One Tap Hero: Free is not yet optimized for the widescreen display of the iPhone 5 and the fifth-generation iPod touch.
