Share The Soundtrack Of Your Life In A Faster, More Beautiful Way With SoundTracking 3.0
January 11, 2013
SoundTracking, the app that lets you "share the soundtrack of your life," has just been updated to version 3.0.
Released nearly two years ago, SoundTracking has become one of the most popular music apps on iOS. It boasts hundreds of thousand of users, a number which at some point included none other than Apple's worldwide head of marketing, Phil Schiller.
As noted in our original review of the app, SoundTracking is something of an Instagram for music. It enables you to share special moments as they happen, complete with their own "soundtracks." You can also say, then, that SoundTracking is something of a Shazam or SoundHound that is decidedly for sharing.
It lets you instantly identify what song is playing nearby or search for a song by artist or title. Then, it lets you add photos and tag places and friends to your chosen "soundtracks." It also lets you share them with your friends and followers on Facebook, Twitter, and Foursquare.
As its whole-number versioning suggests, SoundTracking 3.0 is a major improvement on the app's previous version. As such, it brings the following new features:
