Wake Up And Find The Perfect Music For Any Mood Or Situation With iHeartRadio
January 7, 2013
Do you heart iHeartRadio? If you do, then you'll definitely heart the latest update to the popular Internet radio app for iPhone.
The last time we featured iHeartRadio was when the app got updated with Univision and college radio stations in March last year.
Since then, the app has received a number of updates that brought a number of new features, including: song lyrics, artist biographies, live radio feedback, and sleep timer.
Now, iHeartRadio has been updated with streaming improvements and a couple of new features: alarm clock and something called "Perfect For."
The app's new alarm clock feature is, in a way, the reverse of its already existing sleep timer feature. Whereas the sleep timer lets you program a station to turn off after you doze off, the alarm clock lets you wake up to your favorite station.
The other new feature in iHeartRadio, dubbed "Perfect For," allows you to find the perfect station for any activity, mood, or situation.
It's interesting to note that an alarm clock function has also been added to Songza, another popular music streaming app and a personal favorite of mine. More notably, iHeartRadio's "Perfect For" feature seems to be patterned after Songza's flagship feature, Music Concierge.
Optimized for iPhone and iPod touch running iOS 4.3 or later, iHeartRadio is available in the App Store for free.
By the way, if you're wondering if we here at AppAdvice also heart iHeartRadio, suffice it to say that we've given the app the top spot in our Best iOS Radio Apps AppGuide.
