You'll Find Hundreds Of Things To Like In This New iOS Puzzle Game
January 3, 2013
Thomas Jefferson had a nice piece of advice for achieving serenity: When angry, count to 10; if very angry, count to 100. Considering that, the former president would probably approve of Hundreds.
Teased as far back as January last year, Hundreds is a collaboration between Semi Secret Software (of Canabalt and Wurdle fame) and Mikengreg (of Gasketball and Solipskier fame). It's a new iOS game that lets you "unwind your mind" by challenging you to, in a manner of speaking, take things 100 at a time.
As you can see in the game's trailer below, Hundreds involves floating bubbles. The idea is to tap and grow these bubbles until the total of the numbers they indicate reaches 100.

But here's the catch … As you tap and grow a bubble, it turns red, which, incidentally, is the color most commonly associated with anger. And when a bubble is "angry," you don't want it to collide with another bubble, or else it's game over.
It sounds really simple, but it's quite challenging in reality. You can try the game's basic concept for yourself (before you get the iOS game itself) by playing the original Hundreds Flash game.
Hundreds for iOS features more than 100 unique, puzzling levels. These levels are rendered in elegant, minimalist graphics and enhanced with mesmerizing background music. Progress syncing via iCloud is also supported in the game.
Compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad running iOS 5.0 or later, Hundreds is available now in the App Store for the introductory price of $2.99. That price is expected to go up to $4.99 by Jan. 10, so better download the game now. No need to count to 100. Just download the game now!
