Apple Releases iOS 6.1.3 Beta That Fixes Troublesome Lock Screen Bug

February 21, 2013
Apple has just released the second beta of iOS 6.1.3 to developers. It can be downloaded directly from the developer’s site. As promised by Apple, the beta version does apparently fix the troubling lock screen bug that was uncovered in iOS 6.1. Even though it does require more than a few steps to take advantage of, the flaw allows unauthorized access to an iPhone’s Phone app, contacts, voicemail, and photos. The first beta of the software was originally named iOS 6.1.1. But in the interim, Apple released iOS 6.1.1 and iOS 6.1.2 to the public that cured other issues. Unlike iOS 6.1.1 that was only for the iPhone 4S, 6.1.2 was for all iOS devices to tackle an issue with Microsoft Exchange. It’s unknown when iOS 6.1.3 will be officially released to the public.
