DataMan Pro Gains DataMan Next's Weather App-Like Interface And Smart Forecast

February 26, 2013
The popular data usage tracking utility app DataMan Pro has just come across another major update. The second update to come to the app since its relaunch in November last year, the new update turns DataMan Pro into a "completely reinvented" app. Specifically, it enhances DataMan Pro with a "beautiful clean interface" and "Smart forecast." If you'll recall, DataMan Next was released last month. DataMan Next offers virtually the same monitoring and warning features as DataMan Pro, but it boasts an interface akin to a minimalist weather app. Now, DataMan Pro has acquired that same interface. It's about time, really, since its old interface was, well, just that: old. In addition, DataMan Pro has also gained the Smart forecast introduced in DataMan Next. Basically, Smart forecast predicts if you'll stay within your data cap so that you can take precautions. But now that DataMan Pro and DataMan Next already look the same and has the same Smart forecast feature to boot, what exactly differentiates one from the other? For one thing, DataMan Pro has AppWatch, which lets you see data usage statistics for all apps. Also, DataMan Pro supports geotagging, enabling you to map where you use data especially when traveling or roaming. Finally, DataMan Pro offers push notifications in addition to in-app alerts. Compatible with iPhone running iOS 6.0 or later, the new and improved DataMan Pro is available now in the App Store as a free update or as a new $4.99 download. That's half off its regular price, so you might want to get it now if you haven't already. DataMan Next, on the other hand, is available in the App Store for $1.99.
