Scout By Telenav Gains OnMyWay ETA Sharing, Calendar Syncing And More

Scout, the highly rated navigation app from Telenav, has driven into another significant update.
The latest update to Scout introduces two neat new features in the form of OnMyWay ETA sharing and calendar syncing.
With Scout's new OnMyWay features, which are similar to the ones introduced to Waze last October, you can share your real-time ETA with your friends.
Not only do your friends get notified of when you're likely to arrive, they can also see your real-time progress on a map whether they have the Scout app or not.
Moreover, Scout's OnMyWay functionality allows you to automatically share your ETA for selected contacts and for saved places, such as Home, Work, or those in your favorites.
As for the calendar syncing feature, Scout can now "scout" your iOS calendar for entries with location info. Consequently, Scout helps you get to where you need to be for your appointments with its voice-guided navigation.

In addition to OnMyWay ETA sharing and calendar syncing, the new version of Scout also includes a more optimized My Dashboard:
Now do everything faster and with virtually one or no taps right from the home screen. New additions to My Dashboard include sharing your current location or adding it your favorites in My Places, seeing traffic flows on the map, driving to contacts from your address book using the search bar, one tap to discover things to do, one tap to view your recents, and more options for your preferences by accessing you profile from My Dashboard.Also, the new Scout update offers free car icons, with which you can replace the default navigation arrow in the app. Optimized for iPhone and iPod touch running iOS 5.0 or later, Scout is available in the App Store for free. The free app offers an in-app upgrade called Scout Plus, available for $4.99 and $24.99 for one month and one year, respectively. Scout Plus includes such premium features as Always There Navigation, real-time traffic, lane assist, red light camera alerts, speed trap alerts, and speed limits info.
