Ness 2.0 Is Highly Recommended For Getting Restaurant Recommendations
April 18, 2013
Ness, the popular dining guide app for iPhone and iPod touch, has just received its biggest update yet: Ness 2.0.
Ness 2.0 offers a remarkably redesigned interface that is built around instant and context-based restaurant recommendations.
"With Ness 2.0, we’ve built a product that anticipates what you’re looking for, then offers the fastest and easiest way to find restaurants tailored to your tastes," said Ness CEO and cofounder Corey Reese. "Instead of relying on reviews from strangers, Ness is all about you."
One of the highlights of the new interface introduced in Ness 2.0 is the new swipeable cards view for restaurant recommendations. Seemingly inspired by the cards search interface in the iOS App Store app, the new cards view serves as a more functional alternative to Ness' map view.
Ness' swipeable cards view provides a representative photo and an explanation as to why you might like each recommended restaurant. This lets you see at a glance which restaurant is the right one for you.

And to better help you find the right restaurant for any situation, Ness has been equipped with new controls that let you specify the What, When, and Where of your query.
Under What, you can tell Ness which types of cuisines you want to be considered, indicate whether you want casual or upscale, and hide the places you've been to. Under When, you can select "now" or any other mealtime. And under Where, you can enter your desired location and proximity.
From these parameters, Ness comes up with recommendation cards that you can swipe through. And from each card, you can easily do the following actions:
Ness 2.0 also includes the ability to save favorites to custom, shareable lists. Optimized for iPhone and iPod touch running iOS 6.0 or later, Ness 2.0 is available now in the App Store for free. Ness 2.0 is a really nice update, and I can't recommend it enough. Download it now and get swiping through Ness' recommendation cards for your next foodie adventure.
