Appxplore, well known for its fun and interesting puzzlers for iOS devices, is making two of its games even better with updates.
First off, the developer has given a sneak preview of the new blitz mode for Alien Hive. Taking an interesting spin on the sliding-tile gameplay, the mode will feature a faster and more fluid action experience.
Take a look at the mode in a trailer. Click here if you can’t see the video.
Blitz mode will be part of a future update. Alien Hive is a universal title for the iPhone/iPod touch and iPad/iPad mini. It can be downloaded in the App Store now for free.
You don’t have to wait to experience the improved Sporos. The pictured title, which garnered Honorable Mention in our AppAdvice Game of the Week contest when it was released last month, has just been updated to version 1.4.
If you haven’t seen the game, the basic premise is that players must infect the cells with Sporos. Even though it sounds easy, it is much harder than it looks.
Along with some minor bug fixes, the update features a new discovery lab mode as an in-app purchase. In the mode, each cell must be infected twice.
In our original review, Christine Chan called Sporos “beautiful, radiant, challenging.”
Also a universal title, Sporos can be downloaded in the App Store for $0.99 now. Discovery lab mode will cost an extra $0.99.
