Cydia Tweak: InstaVelox Adds An Enhanced Velox Folder To Instagram
If you’ve been enjoying your time with Velox, this new Cydia tweak brings even more enhanced folder functionality to the home screen. InstaVelox is an add-on that gives you a quick look at your Instagram stream with a quick swipe over the Instagram icon. Of course, you’ll need to have Velox installed to take advantage of this functionality, but if you’re active on Instagram, this tweak may be a handy add-on for Velox. Once installed, activate the enhanced Instagram folder with the activation method you’ve set up for Velox. First, you’ll be prompted to login to Instagram. Don’t be alarmed, this is just the mobile interface for Instagram. After you’ve logged in, you’ll have quick access to your stream. Along the bottom of the Velox folder, you’ll see a set of buttons. These buttons are basically shortcuts to their respective sections within the app. Unfortunately, this add-on won’t allow you to take pictures and post them to Instagram without launching the full app. While I was a bit disappointed to find out that InstaVelox lacked native posting, it’s still a great way to take a quick peek at your friend’s activity on Instagram. [caption id="attachment_421035" align="aligncenter" width="300"] Each button will launch Instagram to the appropriate section.[/caption] Overall, this add-on works exactly as advertised and brings the Instagram experience to your home screen. Currently, InstaVelox is available in the BigBoss repository for free. Check it out and be sure to let us know what you think in the comments. Keep in mind, if you’d like to use InstaVelox, you’ll need to purchase Velox first. For more information, watch out our video overview of Velox here.
