Gameloft's Newest iOS Release Promises To Be - Wait For It - Epic
May 23, 2013
Just a month ago, Gameloft released the official tie-in game of "Iron Man 3," imaginatively called Iron Man 3 - The Official Game. But now, the well-known game developer and publisher is already out with another official tie-in game of another summer blockbuster movie. And it's supposed to be rather "epic."
At least it is called that: Epic.
Gameloft's Epic is the official game of the computer animated fantasy adventure film of the same name, which is scheduled to hit theaters tomorrow.
Produced by Blue Sky Studios, the same animation studio behind "Ice Age" and "Rio," "Epic" is set in a secret forest kingdom where an epic battle between good and evil is about to take place.

The official Epic game is pretty much reflective of the plot of its source material. In the game, you have to build your own forest kingdom. Also, you have to train Leafmen warriors and engage in battle against the rotten Boggans and their leader, Mandrake.
You can also connect with your Epic-playing friends and cooperate on building one another's kingdoms. Or else you can challenge them in friendly Leafmen battles.
Epic also includes mini-games that offer various rewards.
Compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad running iOS 5.0 or later, Epic is available now in the App Store. Unsurprisingly, considering that it's a modern Gameloft title, Epic is a freemium game.
