HopStop For iPad Expands Coverage To Offer Transit Directions In New Markets

May 29, 2013
The iPad edition of HopStop, the popular transit app included in our Apps For The Public Transit User AppList, has just arrived at a new update. Like its iPhone counterpart, HopStop for iPad provides directions by subway, bus, train, taxi, foot, or bike. It also comes with official transit maps and station-to-station schedules in more than 600 cities across the U.S., Canada, Europe, Russia, Australia, and New Zealand. And now, the app lets you see transit fare calculations in all routes throughout New York City, Long Island, New Jersey, Connecticut, Westchester, and the Hudson Valley. The app now also supports 10 new markets in the U.K.: Scotland, North East & Cumbria, Northern Ireland, Yorkshire, Wales, West Midlands, East Midlands, East Anglia, South West (England), and South East (England). Outside the U.K., the following markets have also been added to HopStop for iPad: Bellingham (Washington), Gainesville (Florida), Lynchburg (Virginia), Nashua (New Hampshire), Western Maryland, Strasbourg (France), and Queensland (Australia). These markets have been added to HopStop for iPhone as well through its most recent update. Moreover, the latest update to HopStop for iPad includes over 10,000 additional bus schedules. Compatible with iPad running iOS 5.0 or later, the new version of HopStop for iPad is available now in the App Store for free. Note that the app is ad-supported. If you'd like to permanently remove ads in the app, you can now do so by availing of a $4.99 in-app purchase.
