Lock And Load For Gameloft's Team Fortress-Style Shooter Game Blitz Brigade
May 11, 2013
Since December last year, Zynga has had Respawnables. Now, for its own take on Team Fortress-style gaming on iOS, Gameloft has launched Blitz Brigade.
"You ready for the gun show?" teases Gameloft in the game's App Store description. "Axis or Allies, victory or defeat, mayo or mustard … All will be decided in the ultimate FPS showdown, Blitz Brigade!"
Essentially a class-based first-person shooter, Blitz Brigade dares you to embody one of five classes and team up with other players online to gun down your enemies.

The five classes are Soldier, Gunner, Medic, Sniper, and Stealth. Be one of those and engage in badass battles with up to 12 players in the dauntingly named Domination and Deathmatch modes. As you do, you can use three different vehicles along with more than a hundred class-specific weapons.
Blitz Brigade also features unique taunts and kill phrases for each character as well as support for voice chat within teams.
Compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad running iOS 5.0 or later, Blitz Brigade is available now in the App Store.
Typical of Gameloft games these days, Blitz Brigade is a freemium title. Fortunately, the game appears to allow you to earn upgrades and add-ons through continuous play. Unfortunately, though, the game makes it a point to remind you that, yes, you can do the same just through in-app purchases.
