Apple Adds An Impressive Level Feature To The iOS 7 Compass App

June 11, 2013
One further change made in iOS 7 concerns the Compass app. Particularly, while the application benefits from a new minimalist design that's in keeping with the operating system's application icons at-large, a useful level feature allows users to measure surface levels in a fun, easy way. As you can see in the above image, iOS 7 will use an iDevice's accelerometer to detect how many degrees off one's surface is. This is displayed in a white font against a black screen. Once, however, your iDevice is on a flat, level surface, the screen turns green and the Compass app will read "zero degrees."
