Gameloft has confirmed that Brothers in Arms, the popular franchise which last saw a new App Store release in 2010, is set to be brought back to life in a brand new sequel app, Brothers in Arms 3. While little is known about the forthcoming application, Gameloft has confirmed that the new game will be an on the rails shooter, which allows users to swipe between places of cover.
In a post published to Gameloft's blog, the developer explains:
We can’t give you too many details as its still early in development, but we can tell you that its controls are vastly different from previous games in the franchise. Think of Brothers in Arms 3 as an on-rails shooter but instead of being on a track like in an arcade on-rails shooter, you can swipe from one position to another. So navigating maps is easier & more exciting.Gameloft will be showing off more of Brothers in Arms 3 at E3, so we'll hopefully have more news for you soon. In the meantime, take a look at the below screenshots of the upcoming app, which should give you an idea of what to expect once Brothers in Arms 3 finally launches.
