Krypton Or Earth? Cast Your Vote And Unlock The Man Of Steel Experience

Marvel released an official mobile game for "Iron Man 3." So did Universal for "Fast & Furious 6" and Paramount for "World War Z." But Warner Bros. chose to be different. Instead of releasing an official mobile game, Warner Bros. launched a couple of augmented reality apps on iOS to promote "Man of Steel." One is the Man of Steel app sponsored by Kellogg's, which I posted about when it launched last April. The other is Man of Steel Experience, which has just received its first update. Released just a month ago, Man of Steel Experience poses the question: "Will you support Krypton or Earth?"

With the Man of Steel Experience app, you can show your support by burning Superman or General Zod’s crest into your world. Share life-sized photos of you and Superman with friends through the magic of augmented reality and stay up to date on the latest trailers and photos from the movie.

And with its first update, Man of Steel Experience now lets you explore more Superman-related content. This includes a 3-D look at the Kryptonian ships that, I presume, figure prominently in the upcoming film. Compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad running iOS 5.1 or later, Man of Steel Experience is available in the App Store for free. "Man of Steel" flies into theaters on June 14.
