OS X Mavericks Developer Preview 2 is now available to download in the Mac App Store.
The second version of the prerelease software, which upgrades developer Macs to OS X 10.9 "Mavericks" ahead of schedule, appears to add a new Airport Utility (6.3), a Thunderbolt Firmware Update (1.2), and an update for iTunes (11.0.4).
Apple notes at its developer website:
This is a pre-release version of OS X Mavericks. OS X Mavericks Developer Preview 2 is available as an update from the Mac App Store for Macs running OS X Mavericks Developer Preview.OS X Mavericks shares a number of features with iOS 7, and adds a Maps app, offline dictation, and more to the desktop operating system. According to Apple, the update will be available for the general public to download in the Mac App Store this fall, and from what we understand the software will be compatible with all Macs running OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion. The beta update for OS X Mavericks comes soon after Apple launched iOS 7 beta 2, which adds a number of new features to the prerelease mobile operating system, including iPad support.
