Release The World Engine! Save Earth From Being Turned Into Krypton In Man Of Steel
June 27, 2013
Man of Steel, the official tie-in game of the Superman reboot film of the same name, has just forged its first ever update, a couple of weeks after its release on iOS.
The update adds a new level to the game's story mode and a new unlockable suit.
Man of Steel features two modes, namely, survival mode and story mode. In survival mode, you have to play for as long as you can while enduring the increasingly injurious attacks from General Zod's forces. And in story mode, you play through a series of locations and scenarios taken straight from the movie.
Indeed, Man of Steel's story mode is essentially a video game retelling of the film's plot. And it now lets you continue reliving the movie with a new level.

After defeating Zod's lieutenants in story mode, you can now save Earth from being turned into a Krypton-like planet by destroying Zod's World Engine.
Speaking of Krypton, you can now "give in to dark desires" and upgrade Superman with the newly added Skin Suit from his native planet. In total, there are now seven suits that you can unlock to customize your very own Man of Steel's look.
Man of Steel for iPhone and Man of Steel HD for iPad are available in the App Store for $2.99 and $4.99, respectively.
The game was named by us here on AppAdvice as our Game of the Week last week. Our citation noted, "We've been enjoying Man of Steel quite a bit on our iPhones, and if you’re a Superman fan, or just like Infinity Blade-style games, then this will be right up your alley."
