Alien Blue For iPad 2.2 Features Moderation Tools Plus Apple TV-Ready Canvas
July 18, 2013
Alien Blue for iPad, arguably the best Reddit client for iPad, has just been updated to version 2.2.
Alien Blue for iPad 2.2 brings a ton of new features and improvements, including a redesigned and enhanced Canvas and a number of moderation tools.
The app's revamped Canvas, which can now be launched from within comment threads, comes with new galleries, an Optimal Album view, support for GIFs and videos, and support for TV-out and Apple TV. The latter new feature, in particular, is ideal for another new feature of Alien Blue for iPad, slideshow with auto-play.
"If you have an Apple TV (or an iPad standing on your desk), you can take advantage of Canvas' new autoplay features," notes Alien Blue for iPad developer Jason Morrissey. "Choose a subreddit, hit play and sit back. Alien Blue will introduce and auto play GIFs, photos and (optionally) videos without further user-interaction. You also have a handful of options so that you can customise it to your liking."
The latest update to Alien Blue for iPad also introduces various moderation tools, which were already added to Alien Blue for iPhone last February:
Also including a great deal of miscellaneous improvements and fixes, Alien Blue for iPad 2.2 is available now in the App Store as a free update or as a new $3.99 update. The app is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad running iOS 5.0 or later. [gallery link="file" order="DESC"]
