EE's 4G LTE Network Launches In 10 New UK Towns

July 24, 2013
The United Kingdom's only 4G LTE network has just grown, with carrier Everything Everywhere (EE) having announced recently that super fast cellular download speeds are now available in an additional 10 towns in the British Isles. Here's the selection: Altrincham, Bedford, Camberley, Crawley, Farnborough, Farnham, Maidstone, Rochdale, Tonbridge, and Welwyn Garden City. Following the above expansion, the nine-month-old EE now covers an impressive 60 percent of the United Kingdom - a total of 95 areas - with its 4G LTE network. Furthermore, the carrier promises to increase its coverage to 98 percent of the country's population by the end of 2014. EE's chief executive officer Olaf Swantee said:
Today’s results demonstrate our success in building our new brand and differentiating our network to drive commercial momentum while continuing to deliver cost savings to increase our margin performance. We’ve doubled the rate at which we’re adding 4G customers and doubled our 4G speeds across 15 cities to deliver the world’s fastest network for our customers – indoors, outdoors and on key commuter routes.
Finally, EE also notes that the subscriber base for its 4G LTE network has surpassed 687,000, and as such the carrier is set to meet its target of 1 million customers by the end of this year. If you're based in the United Kingdom, have you connected to EE's 4G LTE network yet?
