With one update, Twitter has finally squashed one of the most annoying quirks of its official iOS app.
In version 5.8 of the app, when you read a direct message, it will be marked as read in all official Twitter clients, including Twitter for Mac, twitter.com, mobile.twitter.com, and even TweetDeck.
Here’s the list of other improvements in the update:
Twitter is a universal app designed for both the iPhone/iPod touch and iPad/iPad mini. It can be downloaded now in the App Store for free.
