AT&T Expands Its 4G LTE Coverage Once Again

August 7, 2013
AT&T has once again expanded its 4G LTE footprint. This week saw the arrival of extended LTE coverage in Washington, D.C., and San Francisco, Calif., plus newly activated service in six locations. In a series of press releases, AT&T notes that LTE service is now available in:
  • Coeur D’Alene, Idaho
  • Stockton, Calif.
  • Charlottesville, Va.
  • Topeka, Kan.
  • Kirksville, Mo.
  • Ft. Collins-Loveland, Co.
AT&T 4G LTE mobile technology is capable of delivering mobile internet speeds more than 10 times faster than the standard 3G network. In June, a PCMag study found that out of the four major United States carriers, AT&T’s 4G LTE network is the fastest (though not the most reliable). In July, J.D. Power named AT&T the best carrier in the U.S. in terms of customer satisfaction. This was the first time that the second-largest carrier in the U.S. won the award.
