Bulkypix's Link The Slug Lazily Rips Off ZeptoLab's Pudding Monsters

For better or worse, this week in derivative casual iOS gaming heavily relates to ZeptoLab, the developer behind the acclaimed Cut the Rope and Pudding Monsters puzzle games. First came the launch of Emotion Rays Entertainment's Fix the Leaks, which appears to be a variation of current Apple Free App of the Week Cut the Rope. Now, here comes Link the Slug from Bulkypix, which greatly resembles Pudding Monsters in graphics if not in gameplay.
As stated in its App Store description, Link the Slug features the following:
Apparently, the description neglects to mention a notable feature: sleek and colorful graphics "inspired" by Pudding Monsters. If you can't see the video embedded above, please click here. Indeed, while it offers a slug-zapping gameplay far removed from Pudding Monsters' pudding-combining gameplay, Link the Slug undeniably rips off the key aesthetics of ZeptoLab's colorful top-down puzzler. Hard to believe it's published by the otherwise admirable Bulkypix. In any case, Link The Slug is available now in the App Store for $0.99.
