Apple is planning on taking its Apple Developer services offline later today, but don't panic: according to the Cupertino, Calif. company, the "brief scheduled maintenance," which will take place from 6 p.m., isn't expected to last long.
The news reached registered developers in an email, in which Apple explains the planned downtime:
Apple's Developer services suffered a blow last month when one hacker managed to infiltrate the system. As a result, the website went offline, and all services weren't fully resurrected until a week ago.
Remember, of course, that Apple's recently launched Developer System Status Web page will allow users to check on the services throughout today's scheduled downtime.
