Kritter Ball Takes Classic Pinball And Releases It Into The Wild

August 8, 2013
Fans of classic pinball iOS games will be pleased to learn that there's a new addition to the genre. Kritter Ball, which appeared in the App Store recently, offers iDevice owners a pinball experience relocated to the wild, and features an array of interactive "critters." In the game, players will find that a monkey plays the part of the pinball itself, and cruises around four different environments colliding with a number of other animals, and capturing gold coins. The usual paddle system is in play, and users must direct the monkey towards the coins by touching either the left or right side of their iDevice's screen. You can use numerous powers to improve your score, and it's also possible to challenge friends to a game of pinball from within the application. Here's a complete list of features, as outlined in Kritter Ball's release notes:
  • Fun and addictive gameplay
  • Easy to control
  • Adorable graphics
  • 30 challenging levels
  • Sync scores and friends with Facebook
  • Compete with friends in weekly tournaments
Potential users should be warned, however, that Kritter Ball is supported by in-app purchases. These aren't compulsory, but parents may wish to disable in-app purchases in the Settings app before handing over Kritter Ball to a child. Kritter Ball is available to download in the App Store free of charge, and is optimized for the iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch.
