The Updated NFL Mobile App Brings Live Streams Of Some Games

With just a month until the regular season kicks off, the NFL has just updated its official iOS app with some nice new features.
First up, version 8.0 of the app adds a premium option for Verizon subscribers with an iPhone. For an upgrade price of $5 per month, users can gain access to a live stream of the NFL RedZone on Sundays and the Thursday, Sunday, and Monday night games. A live stream of the NFL Network is also available 24/7.
The updated app also includes video on demand and game highlights to show off more of the action.
Fans can also follow their favorite teams with custom alerts regarding highlights, game start time, injuries, entry into the red zone, and scoring plays.
NFL Mobile is a universal app designed for both the iPhone/iPod touch and iPad/iPad mini. It can be downloaded now in the App Store for free. The release notes do state that the app isn’t supported on jailbroken devices.
