Will You Join The Club? Songza Launches Ad-Free Subscription Service On iOS

Songza has just officially launched Club Songza, its very own ad-free subscription service, on iOS. We first told you about Club Songza a little over a month ago, when Songza announced its plans to boost its monetization efforts:

As you may know, for every one of those 500,000,000+ songs you hear each month, we pay royalties to the deserving artists who create them. As a result, we need to earn more each month so we can keep delivering our expert-made playlists to you that improve the things you do every day.

To help cover its costs, Songza created Club Songza, a subscription service that offers an ad-free listening experience enhanced with exclusive playlists and activities. And Club Songza is now in effect in Songza for iOS, following the popular music streaming app's new update. To subscribe to the service, which costs $3.99 per month, just go to the app's Settings section and select Upgrade to Club Songza. Note that Club Songza is an optional in-app subscription. You can still enjoy Songza, including its excellent Concierge feature, even without subscribing to the service, albeit with the occasional ads. Speaking of ads, Songza has also launched new types of ads to subsidize users who don't subscribe to Club Songza. These new ads require some sort of typed response regarding Songza's sponsors before the selected playlist begins. Songza is available in the App Store for free. The app is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad running iOS 5.0 or later.
