Afterlight 2.0 Brings New Patterns, New Filters And Other Enhancements

September 20, 2013
The "fast and simple photo editor" Afterlight, which is one of the top paid apps for iPhone and iPad, has just been updated to version 2.0. Afterlight 2.0 introduces a couple of packs, namely, the Wallpaper pack and the Seasons pack. Available via a $0.99 in-app purchase, the Wallpaper pack contains patterns designed to be paired with frames:
This pack includes 15 hand drawn patterns to be used with the frames to create a very unique look. This is a growing pack that will receive new content. Wallpaper pack created by Becky Filip. @beckybird
The Seasons pack, on the other hand, is available for free and contains 16 new filters created by Angel Dorr (@angelisdarling). The latest update to Afterlight also allows the focus and exposure settings to be controlled in the camera mode by activating them with two fingers. Also, the update allows photos to be automatically saved to the camera roll in camera mode. Furthermore, in Afterlight 2.0, the temperature and exposure tools have both been recreated and enhanced. And on iPhone 5 (and presumably on iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c as well), a new low-light boost setting has been added to the settings menu. Also including various bug fixes, Afterlight 2.0 is available now in the App Store as a free update or as a new $0.99 download. The app is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad running iOS 5.0 or later. Originally called AfterGlow, AfterLight was launched in early November 2012 as an app optimized for iPhone and iPod touch. It was optimized for iPad as well late last July. The latest update to the app also removes the T-shirt button linked to the Afterlight T-shirt store, which has been shut down. "Thanks to every one who got a shirt," says Afterlight developer Simon Filip, "we were able to raise $6,000 for charity!" [gallery link="file" order="DESC"]
