As Apple's New Ad Suggests, The iPhone 5c And iOS 7 Are 'Designed Together'

September 19, 2013
Shortly after releasing iOS 7, Apple has posted a new ad for the iPhone 5c. The 54-second ad shows that the new colorful device and the new colorful operating system are, as its title suggests, "Designed Together":
In the new iPhone 5c, color is more than just something you see. The hardware and software are designed together so you feel color throughout the entire experience.
If you can't see the video embedded above, please click here. The ad features certain software elements in iOS 7 morphing into different hardware components of the iPhone 5c. These elements include Siri's waveforms, the Photos app icon, the Compass app's level tool, Game Center's bubbles, the Music app icon, Control Center, Messages, the redesigned toggle switches, and the new numeric keypad. The ad is set to the ambient sounds of Lemaitre's "1:18," which is shown in the ad as "Now Playing" in the Music app. "Designed Together" comes just a couple of days after Apple released its first TV ad for the iPhone 5c. Titled "Plastic Perfected," the 30-second ad showcases, to the tune of Sleigh Bells' "Rill Rill," the fun candy colors of the iPhone 5c, which has a polycarbonate casing available in blue, green, pink, yellow, and white.
