Google has just updated Google Play Books, adding single sign-on support to the free universal e-book reading application.
The news comes following the launch of similar updates for Google's other iOS apps, including Chrome, YouTube, and Google AdSense. As a reminder, single sign-on allows iDevice users to sign in to one of Google's supported apps, and have their account automatically sign in to all other supported Google apps installed on the user's iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.
Further changes include "support for copying selected text, if copyright allows," along with stability improvements, according to the application's release notes.
It could be that Google has also tested its application against Apple's iOS 7, which is set to launch on Wednesday, Sept. 18.
As mentioned, Google Play Books can be downloaded in the App Store free of charge, and is optimized for the iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch.
